These days it's looking like scammers are getting better and better at trying to steal your personal data. Should you be unfortunate enough to point your browser to http://microsoft-test.commerce5.com/default.aspx?culture=en-us in Firefox, you will be prompted to enter your Live email ID when selecting a version of Office trial, Internet Explorer 7 correctly reports it as a phishing website, but Firefox users (which even renders quite poorly) will not be warned.
Unsuspecting users may not know that all Microsoft trial offers are always located on the microsoft.com domain. For example at present Microsoft is not offering a trial version of the RTM'd Office 2007 System. A list of available downloads can be viewed here.
For the real Office website, go here. Microsoft was unavailable for comment at the time of this posting but they have been informed.
Theres another reson for the cool firefox boys to move over to a decent browser.
You can't even have your details stolen by a properly rendered site.

Im sure that are a million other websites that IE doesnt pick up, but Microsoft probably made sure this story came out to bad mouth Firefox.

I'm sure it didn't.
Firefox is slow, bloated and it can't even render a larger number of sites properly than IE can.
What exactly is the reason for using it

That page doesn't load in Firefox.
I use Firefox because my version of Windows is installed on about 10 other computers and there is no crack for Genuine Advantage. I need a browser which provides me with tabbed browsing. Also, I don't get all this stuff about Firefox being slow. It loads up as quick as IE does on my PC.

There are a plethora of cracks for wga.
Its not how fast it loads up, its how fast it renders pages.
I can't really tell the difference tbh but that was the big plus of using firefox, until it was actually tested and found out to be slower than both opera and ie, i'm sure safari was faster as well.
