for some reason, IE is no longer my default browser. how do i make this my default browser again?

Open IE, Click Tools, Internet Options, Programs Tab, then check "internet explorer should check...." and next time you fire it up it'll ask to make it default browser.

What is the other browser you use? If its Firefox, imo stick with it.
If not then what brett said, SHOULD work

It could be that the other browser is set up the same way (ie. to check it is the default program). I'd check through the Options of the secondary browser to see that it isn't clashing.
