Got a laptop today which has wi-fi
Trying to set it up with my wireless network. Its searches & comes up with the ones that are in range
Mine is in the list
I click to connect & after a few seconds of it trying to connect I get the error message "Windows is unable to connect to the selected network. The network may no longer be in range. Please refresh the list of available networks, and try to connect again"
Tried & tried refreshing & doing it again but I get that everytime
It can't be out of range, Im sat next to the bloody wireless box
Where am I going wrong?

Nope not with AOL
When you say is it set up what do you mean?
We have another PC & my Dad uses his laptop on this network already. So it does work
We have a password on the network yes, its not asked me to enter one yet though

AFAIK, you have to enter the password, before it can connect, atleast you do on my network.
Once you have entered the password, it should be able to connect.

Yes it wont connect to the internet without a password
But Im talking about searching for one & selecting one to use. At that point it just cuts off & it shouldn't!
