Today my eml has decided to start workin! and i dont know why...
the engine is fine, idles perfect, and runs exactly like it did before it came on. Starts fine and stops fine.
When i turn the ignition on, light comes up (normal), start the car, it goes out, and if i leave it idleing then it wont come on at all, but when i start moving it will then come on and stay on, but theres nothing wrong performance wise. Everything still works etc, just the eml is constantly on.
Any ideas as to why its on would be great
I thought sensors etc but then thought id see a difference in performance...but it runs sweet :S i dont like that orange bulb staring me in the face lol.
any help would be appreciated!

sounds like a speed sensor to me but i could be wrong

Cheers man its a start
Speedo seems to be working fine n that, was readin on here the speedo cable or something could have been busted n speedo acting wierd etc and causing it, but it all seems to be workin smoothe as
Any other ideas appreciated

k so doin some research, if its a knock sensor problem, the ecu can adjust etc.. so does that mean its not adjusting if its that? or a replacement jobbie?
also, its a V reg sport, can the fault codes still be read from it using a paper clip... ill do that later if i can, see what it says.

okie dokie, paper clip says EGR valve which i dont like the sound of. Was readin its prob gonna be easiest to get it out by removing the expansion tank and top inlet, struggling like a bitch, clean it and put it back in there?
