Just been removing my front seats and I slipped on undoing a tight bolt and have now pretty much rounded the torx screw.

I can still put the T40 bit in there, however under preasure it just slips and rounds the screw some more..

Any ideas how I can get it out? The screw is still fully screwed in.

All the other 3 bolts came out fine.

I guess if worse comes to worse, I could use the liveridge of the seat against the screw and snap the head out, however I am worried about ruining the thread and I wouldnt have much of the screw shank exposed to get it out still..

Any ideas would be great.

Thanks

was gonna suggest an easy out, we use them at work.

could weld a nut onto it and loosen it with a spanner that way, or drill it out and retap it, use mole grips, loads of ways.

stilson grips, they're like an adjustable wrench, but the more you pull, the tighter they get... that's what I had to use on my B

weld a nut on it

cut into it with a hacksaw and unscrew it? (might be too big)

grind edges and put a socket on?

All of the above are good, be sure to soak it in WD40 as much as possible before you have a go. You may find working on it from under the car better as a length of thread should be exposed.

Once out replace them all with some nice shiney stainless allen bolts/washers and copper slip
