If my car has been left standing then i go to use it the car doesn't want to move like the hand brake is still on then when it does move there is a loudish bang. I'm not sure if it's from the from or back, but it sounds like it cound be on the passenger side. Any ideas what it could be?

It is. Mine's on a slope over night. I leave it in gear over night. Doesn't do it now.

My corsa used to be terrible for that. One occasion a few of us had to keep pushing the thing to try and unstick them.

and to avoid it make sure the car is fully stopped before applying the handbrake and dont put the handbrake on super tight.
