I have my main wireless access point/adsl router downstairs, i have a different wireless access point kicking around spare.

Can i move this wireless access point upstairs and connect a PC to it, then get it to talk through that wireless access point to the other?

depends on the make and model

most ap's can be setup in bridged mode point to point or point to multi point. mix makes and models can be a pita to setup tho
