hi got a bit of bother i rev my car up to say 2k and let off and the revs stay st 2k until i rev it agen and it goes bk down? what do you think would be causing this? and ive got a split pipe somewhere and its drawing in air slightly making my car rev up nd dwn ever so slightly would this fail the idle test at MOT?

Infact if its a x14xe or x16xe i have a good working one here .
