When i remove the pin that holds the rev counter needle at o revs, should the needle remain there, or should it rotate to aroung -1000 revs???

no that is what the pin is for, to stop it falling below

so it sounds normal even though i havnt tried it, thats why there is a stop pin i think

kinda thot that, but the next question was how far it drops. Just hoping someone has a set of dials sitting in their room.

why do you need to take it off? as far as i knew it didn't come off at all... but the nova dial kit's used to drop to about -1000... there was a way to put the needle back on without screwing the accuracy up... but i can't remeber... sorry mate.
