Hi guys Am a newey in need of some help :-) lol.
I'v just bought a corsa gsi on an m reg from auction but wen i brake, there is like a springy knocking and seems to be coming from the passenger side front. Its really doing my head in and dobnt want to take the garage(bad experiences wit them)
Anybody know what it could be? I took the calipers and pads off but everythin seems fine and has basically new disks and pads on.
Any help wud be appreciated,

Could be a warped disc? Are they brand new or do they just "look" that way?
Could also be bushes, ball joints, that kinda thing. If it's had big wheels on in the past they will have worn more than usual so it could be worth checking out.
Any play in the wheel bearings?

Thanks mate. Well on the history checker on the vosa website it says it failed mot on pitted disks. they look brand new basically so Im pretty sure they are.
how would I go about checking the bushes etc?

i would say bottom ball joints.
Jack the wheel up. and hold it at quarter to three try and rock the wheel, then try the same at half past twelve. If you can feel movememnet get someone to look behind the wheel at what is moving!

make sure the calliper is tight to start with
failing that tighten wheel bearing, check for rock

NO I HAVENT YA KNOW. ONLY GOT THE CAR LAST WEEK, WAS LOOKIN AT SOME ON EBAY BUT MY ACCOUNT GOT HIGHJACKED, gutted like :-~(
