the date and time keeps reseting in my car is tis a common fault or am i just a one off

possibly a loose connection to the MFD, or a dodgy car battery, otherwise it'd be a faulty MFD - thats my guess anyways.

it only resetes when i remove the key from the ignition and put it back in

happend to mine when i brojke a wire to the mfd, need to remove the whole cnetre console and check for lose wires

check your fuses first mate,i pulled my whole dash apart after lots of advice,only for my dad to come along,check the fuses,put a new one in, then told me not to be such an idiot next time.lol.
