get a leakdown compression test done. that will point to the cause of the oil consumption.

my gsi used a fook load of oil due to the bottom end knocking, and it smoked at high revs and stunk of burnt oil. and due to this my engine died 2 nites ago.
can you hear any knocking noise when the engines revved above 3k?

No I haven't heard any noises... although tbh can't hear much with the air filter....
I took the car to a Garage on Friday and I spoke to a mechanic about getting a LEAKDOWN Test... however he checked under the car and found no leaks....
He told me that he thinks I should get an engine rebuild or get it fixed pretty soon.... he says it's more than likely the piston rings/seals are worn and the oil is literally dropping through into my combustion tank and blasting out of my exhaust when I accelerate....!
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET AN X16XE ENGINE???????
I am going to need to find out about prices and where I can find an engine I'm pretty dissapointed tbh I have had that car not even 2 months
Anyone have any Ideas??????
Please let me know many thanks
Ash

Failing that, you can have my old piston rings (covered 5k miles)
That'll help, may aswell do the stem seals whilst you're there.
