Hi ppl,
Just wanted to know what the actual pro's & con's are about each car...
I have had my Corsa Sport for about 5 weeks now and I know a lad who constantly tells me I should have gone for a GSI although I didn't really see that they were much different....
And I also wanted something which had a few nice new things in it...
I have also been told that BHP wise the GSI beats the Sport by a whole 2Bhp!!!!
what do you reckon?
let me know Cheers!

nothing in it really preformance wise. GSI has a nice body kit and may feel a bit more special as they are less common.
But a sport is newer and will therefore be a better car.
Drives supercharged Tec with torque

I have owned plenty of both types.
I wouldnt buy another Gsi persoanlly as they are older and more chance to be hammered. saying that I wouldnt buy another corsa again.
Gsi has a nicer bodykit, sports are newer with less miles generally.

spec is the same. both have electric windows, mirrors etc... was an option on the gsi though. sport has an option of aircon, which is crap anyway.

The GSI is group 11 and the Sport is group 10 for insurance. Not sure how many £'s difference it would make but for 2 whole BHP, who realy cares?!
A GSI kit wouldnt be hard to fit either, the 1.6 is tunable aswell!

The thing that pisses me off about the 1.6 Sport is it looks exactly the same as a 1.2.
GSI's look 10 trimes better.

Oh if your comparing the 1.6 sport to the 1.2 SXI then yes! they will look the same! the SXI is a sporty model but slower and cheaper!

I only have this Corsa coz i always wanted to mod the 1.6 engine in a Corsa.
If you've done it, why do it again?

Corsa GSi IMO is the only one to have unless your planning on changing the car.
GSi is unique and has a beautiful bodkit that suits the lines of the car.

id rather get a sport because its newer with better interior i rekon, plus theres a slim chance of finding a gsi without it already being hammered. just get a gsi bodykit and wack it on a sport. thats wot i did. sports will probably have loads less rust on them aswel

ive got a sport and reccommend it over the gsi purly because the sport is newer, interior is nicer, and has aircon.
The one thing i do like the gsi 4 is the colour coded arches and skirts + the front bumper with fog lights.
