What oil pressure should I be seeing on my C16XE.
At the moment I'm seeing approx 50-55psi on cold idle, 45-50psi when running and driving, but I've raised my idle to 2krpm as when hot the oil pressure dropped quite low, now maintains approx 35psi at 2krpm.

Show me your gauge, i want to fit oil temp and oil pressure gauges to my c16xe

Will look in haynes later bout what pressure oil should be at. Working at the moment...

Think the warning light is set at 20psi, as soon as I saw that I raised it up.

What was your idle speed set to?
According to engine data books, idle pressure at 80c oil temperature should be a minimum of 1.5bar(about 21psi)
At 800/900 rpm.

Idle speed is a bit hit and miss as its running TB's and I was having probs with the TPS. I'll lower the idle speed back down tonight and see what sort of pressure I'm getting. Cheers for the info Vaux Lad!

My x16xe pressure sits on the first mark on a nova oil pressure gauge, when the engines hot and idling.

Fook knows what the marks represent in actual pressure tho,lol.

When its up to temp (80ºC) the oil pressure at 1100rpm is 22-23psi, so I'm happy with that.
