i'm sure someone else has had this problem so i hope someone can help
i've got a corsa b sxi so a x12xe engine and when i try to get it past 4k revs when pulling in anything higher than 1st the engine struggles the eml comes on and it loses power and i have to release and then re apply the throttle to get it to pull
i've had this problem for a little while now
anyone got any ideas to how to solve this?

mass air flow sensor? will it rev ok when stood?

yeah just when actually driving
although got a new mid and rear section for my exhaust and it has cleared up a bit now
but still a problem over about 50 or 60 moh

most prob the air flow meter, had the same problem on my old sxi a while back mate.

i had this prob for 6 months but changed the AFM and the prob went straight away.

btw ems light is only on for a few seconds soon as i let the revs drop a bit it turns off again

kk where can i go to get the code read, do i have to go to vaux or will my local back street garage do?

EGR

Mine was doing this, i couldnt go above 70mph

and each time the car just lost power, had to let off for a second or two and then try again. Changed EGR and sall good

thats exactly what mine does
will have to see bout sorting it when i get it back from garage for accident repair

You can unplug it to test if it is causing the problem. It wont run perfectly, but if it works better, than AFM it is.
