ive got some mattig dtms and ive sanded them down and primered sanded and primered and then put my top coat on but theres still sanding lines on them, whats the best way to get rid of them, have i used the wrong grade?

i used that plastic filler primer, might just send them a lad i know to do, save myself the hassle

1. Rub down (Grade 600 wet and dry)
2 Primer
3 Rub down (grade 1200 wet and dry USE WET)
4 Paint ( About 3 - 4 coasts leaving to dry about 6 hours or more)
5 Laquer (Use warm and leave to dry again for around 6 hours or more)

You want the surface smooth before you put any primer on it at all. If you use the primer to fill in the sanding marks then you will end up getting sinkage in the paint which isn't a good look.
If they were new then all you needed to do was key them up with a grey scotch pad, then plastic primer.
If they have deep sanding marks in them then try getting them out as best you can with some 600, then if they all go you want to get it nice and smooth with some 800. If you're sanding old paint then sand it wet, if it's filler then sand it dry.
If the sanding marks are deep then you want to go over them with a little tiny bit of filler or some stopper.
