got my car driving straight again by changing the lower ball joint, was a pain to do and took ages but none the less i could drive my car again. went to get petrol and did my tyre pressures tonight, go to pull out and clunk i come to a stop in the middle of a busy section of road luckily its quite cambered so i could roll back but theres just no drive at all
at idle theres like a scraping noise then when u press the clutch it goes but if you try to put it in gear it just wont engage and pull off
clutch? gearbox?
its just like one step forward two back with my car at the minute

get under the car mate, big screwdriver or chisel and hammer, then tap the cv joints into the box, this happened to me too

Are you sure you put the lower ball joint in correctly with the screw? as this has happened to someone i know where it came off the joint and then drieshaft came out etc etc

positive its on right, exactly how the old one came off, if you look at the boot though you can see its sort of flaccid where the section that goes into the box is pushed out

Heres why my driveshaft snapped :
In your gearbox you have a driveshaft seal. If it isnt right in properly , then the driveshaft will not go in properly ! When the driveshaft was pulled out it might have pulled the seal too.
Make sure this is in properly as that cost me a driveshaft as it snapped
