AOL (and probably a few others) offer a wireless internet if your within range of their signal.
Expect it to be slow and the connection to drop a lot, and thats if you happen to be within range which is unlikely!

Any ADSL ISP requires you to have an active phoneline which means paying BT whatever the standard line rental charge is, then they give you the free calls.
Cable willbe different.

Does llu work like that?
Thats the only possibility because otherwise you have to be paying bt rental for the line.
If it is llu then your exchange has to be llu enabled.

Although Virgin do offer ADSL, they primary do cable connections, ie: dedicated copper to your house for an internet connection rather than using a phone line etc.
Only thing cable has going over ASDL is that you, 99% of t he time, get the speed and connection you pay for without having to leave next door to an exchange (like with ADSL). Plus virgins usage limits are pretty good, compared to a lot of other ISPs.
