Hello, i need some software that will allow me to extract 30seconds or so out of a 10 minute video
Can anyone help me?
it wont open in windows movie maker, it is an avi

best bet is to get hold of Adobe Premiere (im sure you can work out where you can get hold of it) - aslong as the codecs are installed then it can process most compressed avi's (divx, xvid etc). It isn't too easy at first, but you can do some pretty cool stuff with it

Adobe Premier or Sony Vegas, both good bits of software, and suprisingly easy to use.

Try Ulead Videostudio. I've used it for a few things, and is really easy to use
