how hard is it to recon a turbo?also where could i get the bits to do it and how much would they cost?cheers

Rebuilding a turbo isnt really a do it yourself job, best to send it away and have it looked at. depending on what it needs you will be looking at 250 to 700 quid
Turbo dynamics will take your turbo apart for free and give you a report on what it needs then you decide if you want it fixed or wether to buy a new one. If you decide not to have it fixed though they wont put it back as it was for you though, you get a bag of turbo parts.

Turbos arent cheap not anything which has "turbo" in it! Tubo dynamics and turbo technics are both great places. i have refurbed T2/3's but nothing any biger, you can pick up the garret refurb kits for around £60 and its not majorly hard!
