I should imagine some company or other takes electrical goods to recycle. I know our local tip has an electrical part where you put them in the room and then they move them off.

Ring your local paper/council I should imagine they would be able to tell you more

find a company that is WEEE registered, places like electrical suppliers etc are. city electrical being one example. failing that they have areas for it at the council tips. just make sure you go in a car, and not a van or anything like that (not that you'd need a van for a printer, although some printers get quite large....) or they charge you.

If you bought a new one then the company you bought it off just take the old one to dispose of iirc.

If it just broke then local tip - or en route to local tip

best idea, flat out in 5th gear, window down, printer out the window. One chav with a broken face an possibly more and one printer disposed of.
