Me and a friend want to know why our EML's flicker really fast. He was told that its something to do with the immobiliser, but we both aren't sure. Can anyone shed any light on this as to why it flickers or even better on how to stop it
Many thanks
Oliver

Flickers as in constant regular flashing or as in randomly flashing on and off? regular flashing means its not seen the chip in key immobiliser but if thats the case it wouldnt let you start it.
edit: dont think the C20XE has the immobiliser but i may be wrong. Who did the wiring for the conversion? Its a simple single wire from the ECU to the dash so shouldnt be hard to fix

It flickers constantly.
I'm still trying to find my fault code reader, but my friend says he doesn't have any faults but his still flickers constantly.

What kind of wiring fault? Conversion wire fault or C20XE engine loom fault?

It was fine when I took the 1400 out and haven't touched it so why would it be that?

The light doesn't flicker constantly now, it flickers very frequently but it will stop for maybe a second or two every so often.
Any other ideas on how to fix this?

No-one know what is wrong? Maybe one of the loom wires connected wrongly to the car loom?
