Ive got a C20XE dropped into my corsa B! im having trouble with the fan belt tho, it is fouling on the cambelt cover! Does anyone know if i can get hold of any sort of spacers for the alternator pulley to bring the belt away from the engine? or if anyone knows any other remedies for the problem?! any help would be greatly appreciated! Jus write back if you need more details!
Thanks

The belt is tight, it is almost as if the alternator is set too far back by about 10mm! so the belt constantly rubs on the cambelt cover.

It shouldnt foul the cover, something is wrong, incorrect part fitted or something else isnt set up right.

I know on my old car (wasnt a redtop) when I changed the alternater there was a difference in the pulley and I needed to use my old pulley to bring the belt out a bit.
