One of the chassis legs on my gsi is rusted pretty bad right up to the lower wishbone. Can poke my finger through a hole and the surrounding area is all crumbly.
With it this far gone, can it still be fixed?

Have you had a garage check it out mate? My brother had the same problem, one garage wouldn't touch it and it failed its mot, so he sold it as an mot failure...someone bought it and had it welded, it's still on the road as far as I know.

I'm trying to find a decent welder who's available to come out and have a look.

Mine is a lot worse than that
How much is a new chassis leg to weld in likely to cost?

Don't worry am sure with the way your describing it that yours is just as bad as mine was, just take it to any decent welder and he will make you a new box section up, £25 per side.
