Could faulty temp switch cause engine to run poor and die when cold on 8v

Temp switch turns the fan on

so no

coolant temp sensor for the ECU could cause trouble, but not that sort really.

air temp switch on the inlet, oviously nt woried bout ffan workin while its cold! more thinking along line of air/fuel
