start it up in the morning, cut out right away, restart it and rev it to stop it cutting out, after a minute of holding the revs up it will idle but keep surging, any ideas?

thought about them first, but the light doesnt stay on any longer than normal, tried turning the ignition on and of a few times first befor starting still the same

when its had say 30 mile run then parked up for an hour or so itll start up ok but the revs still hunt a bit

at first i thought it might of been the engine oil like on zetic fords, put thicker stuff in than normal, change the oil to the proper stuff still the same.

also it does seem to use a bit more fuel than befor,

thinking it might be one of the following

dodgy seal on fuel filter, hence sucking in air

a small crack in one of the fuel pipes

or a cold start sensor if it has one

also tried only half filling the fuel tank in case it was causing a vacume but still the same

should of kept me old combo b, never went wrong lol
