For MOT's sake.... and I'm pretty sure people do this on conversions could I rewire my EML to another light in the dash e.g. Battery or Oil which will go off once the car starts?
If so, how? Last time I remember its all on a flexi circuit board, do I simply cut it and solder on a wire from the positive of the EML to the positive on the Oil or Battery?

Shouldn't fail on an EML light surely?
Mine went in for MOT with the light on twice and passed both.

Cba to ring them, they'll get all funny about it was wondering if anyone who's an MOT tester would know?
Is it a fail if it doesnt even light up at the start... could always remove it entirely

Nah so long as the fault doesn't affect the emissions then the light doesn't matter.
