right when i get a text from someone new (not in my contacts) i go to save contact, enter their name, etc. i'd then hope that their name would show up in my inbox, but it doesnt, its just the number. i even try saving the number manually, but have no joy. its happend a couple of times over the weekend, and its annoying because eventually it will not be easy to see who a text is from. it also happens in the call log. it doesnt bring the name up, its just the number.
have i accidently changed a setting? its been working fine up til this weekend.
any ideas? or anyone know a site i can find the answer?

Backup all your contacts and anything to don't want to lose just in case. Then go through the instructions.

Firmware can often have bugs that either manifests from day one or that appears when a certain event is triggered. At least if it's up to date then that's one less thing to worry about. It's only what the support people will ask you try first anyway.
