hi all
well where to start
my dad decided it would be clever to put a jerry can of diesel in my tank
i know it was diesel as it doesnt smell like petrol and its greasy on the rear 1/4 where he spilt it.he denys its diesel but i know it is.
anyway i put £25 petrol in to hopefully thin it out,its driving ok but i went on the motorway a minute ago and as i accelerate from 70 to 80 its stutters at 4k,it will do this at 30mph aswell if i just plant my foot on the accelerator.
the eml light has come on but goes off a few seconds after i have taken my foot off
done a paperclip test and its flashed the wierd code

You should only get a 2 digit code if your car is a X16XE but you will probably be fine when the dodgey fuel has worked its way through, let it get quite low then fill it with fresh fuel. If you still have problems then try to work it out then.
Not as bad as putting petrol in a diesel car at least!

yeah i know what you mean,it was only like £3 of diesel but ive put £5 petrol last night and £20 this morning.well confused
