For some reason my USB drive has stopped recognising my USB Storage device. When I plug it in it pops up at the bottom right of the screen with the icon you click to safely remove, however it doesn't appear in my computer. All this seems to have happend since I updated my TomTom on this computer if that means anything
Any ideas or help would be much appreciated

Do you have XP or Vista?. Can you roll back/restore to before you updated the TomTom software?.

Running XP, do you think it could be the TomTom software that could have hijacked the the USB ports? I've tried the pen drive in all the USB port and none of them seem to work?

Or you could try this:
------------------------------------------------
Right-click My Computer, click Manage and then Device Manager.
Click the + sign before Universal Serial Bus Controllers.
Highlight all PCI-to-USB Host Controllers, all USB Root Hubs and click Remove.
Note: If any USB devices, such as a camera or printers have been installed, they will be removed automatically. Remove their cables from the computer.
Reboot the computer. During the reboot, you may see Windows display an Adding New Hardware dialog
Return to Device Manager to check the new ports.
Note: After reboot, if any ports have a red X or a yellow ! , then Windows did not correctly detect the ports.
Try these steps again and consider the possibility that problems exist in the computer's BIOS or that the ports may be physically damaged.
---------------------------------------------
Worth a try

This happens if you have another device that wants to use the same drive letter as your USB Storage Drive.
Right-click My Computer, click Manage and then Disk Management.
Give the USB Drive a new letter and see if it appears.
