just fitted a 1.6 16v to my m8s car and fitted a new rad and fan from member on cs fan works if wierd up manually but dosnt kick in with the car also tried earthing the fan switch and still dosnt work now kinda stuck help would b great thanks ??

ttried unpluging that and earthing it so that fan cums on that didnt work

earthing it?..

get a splitpin and bridge the 2 pins on the fan switch, see if that works.

if not then you have most likely lost live to the switch,

yea the fan spins and works if u wire it up by hand i also hav a problem with the dash as ive posted in another thread but could all this b sumthing to do with a relay or sumthing

Wire in a manual switch to the dash somewhere, better that way - you can throw it on in traffic and keep it cool...

Put a voltmeter on the connector that goes to the fan and switch the ignition on, one of the pins should have +12V on it all the time with the ignition on. If there isnt then chwck the fuse, there is no relay for the rad fam
