Right, ever since downloading Limewire Pro and Windows Service Pack 1 the other night, I'm getting non-stop pop ups and they're driving me mad!
I have McAfee Security Center installed already but that says my computer is clean when I run a scan. I've downloaded and run SpyBot, this didn't help, I then installed Spyware Doctor from Google, again no help and I've just tried RogueRemover which didn't find anything either
When I first open IE, I always get 2 more tabs open automatically saying 'HTTP 404 Not Found'?! Then with general surfing I get new windows appear advertising filmon.com or antispyware.com as well as a few others.
Has anyone got any suggestions on what I can try next please? Otherwise the computer is going out the window!

Throw it out the window, get a new one and don't install limewire.

Thing is I've had Limewire installed on 2 computers for the last few years and never once had a pop up?!
However I do feel I shall be taking your advice very soon!

Limewire's got nothing to do with it. Doesn't affect me one way. Just make sure you de-select the third party shite when installing.

Could be Limewire, could be from somewhere else. Facts are you need to clean it. Easiest way is a reinstall, particularly if you're already tried the usual tools.
