hi all
i know this belongs in help zone but hardly anyone helps in there.only need a question answer then it will be removed
my friend has a 1.0 12v and he noticed it dropping revs everytime he changed gear.it drops to 500 revs everytime and nearly cuts out.after pulling up outside my house about 10 minutes ago the eml came on but i couldnt check the paperclip test as its a different pin layout.
anyone got any ideas what this is?
ive mentioned AFM but unsure whatelse it could be?

Try cleaning out the throttle body, my 1.2 16v (pretty much same engine just has an extra cylinder) had the same problem, bit of carb cleaner and a cloth on the throttle body, when I started it after it was fine. I suspect eml may be a different problem. Try cleaning the throttle body first tho, better off spending a few quid on a tin of carb cleaner than forking out for sensors you suspect then it turns out you're wrong.

Is it Shaun's car thats doing it mark? Mine was doing that and i sent it to vauxhall and got a new AFM and Spark plugs
