Does any body have a XPS laptop
are they worth the money?

I'll make a rash statement here. I could be wrong...

Judging by my friends they are just an exercise in marketing. You could probably buy a laptop of the same spec for less money else where.

My sister has the highest spec one they did at the time at £2,000 but whether its worth it or not I cannot say. It wasn't worth her getting it coz all she does on it is surf the net but if your planning to play games on it, it has great spec but yes, ya probably could get one same spec for less money.

Laptops, imho, shouldn't be used for gaming anyway, it just doesn't seem right.

But I would imagine the XPS thing is bit of a marketing ploy, just like anything Dell you buy really.

I'd build one to your spec, then look around.

I'd build it myself, be cheaper although I prefer desktops to laptops.

would like some thing that i could use around and out side the house tbh,
only games ill be playing will be CSS and bioshock. just didnt think many laptops would be able to cope with it.

Dell laptops are in general good, don't know how the normal ones are a marketing ploy though

One im lookin at is just over 900
get 4 GB ram
320? Gb Hard drive
2.4 GHz dual core
nice graphics card.
nd im pritty sure sony and other leadin brands couldnt offer that.
just wasnt to sure if there good systems as dell embed there own software do they not?
as a mate of mine had a problem when he was trying to put a new OS on his Dell mashion

They have stuff installed but its not a problem installing a new os, like any other computer.
