Ok so my car went into the garage this morning as it kept cutting out on me and they have told me that the air filter isnt the original one so thats what is causing the car to cut out.

Does anyone know what the original one looks like and wheres the best place to look for one?

Aparently i need the actual box and filter aswell

im guessing you have a cone filter?

what car is it chap?

and yer standard, its an airbox and panel filter..

does the EML come on when it cuts out ? could be the lamba sensor

Ive had it all checked out at the garage and the bloke said that its the air filter that is the problem.

The car is a vauxhall corsa C sxi

He is lying to you, take it to another garage. you can put the standard airbox and filter on but people run different filters all the time with no problems. What filter is it by the way?

I have no clue. im not very knowledgable with cars to be honest. all i know it is absolutely massive and it doesnt fit onto the box properly so it keeps sliding off. This bloke wouldnt lie to me. He is a friend of the families.

Alot of corsa c's have this problem. the air flow meter doesnt like after market fliter's one bit

find a salvage/breaker's close to you, im sure there will be a corsa there with an airbox and filter
