who has one and how the chuff do you get the wireless to work??
i cant run the recovery partition as it needs FAT32 and its formatted in NTFS (thanks acer)
so ive had to get a copy of xp and reinstall all the drivers from scratch..
i have everything working now apart from wireless.. it bemuses me..
there is one install called broadcom 802.11 and atheros 802.11 tried them both and nothing.
i can connect via a cable.

there might be a little switch on the casing somewhere that disables the wireless until you switch it on. try that. But then again some laptops are advertised with certain features like wireless bluetooth etc but dont actually come with it, just the models higher in the series have them. might not be the case but soemthing to think about

yea it does have one of these buttons you speak of at the front but when you pres it nothing happens.
the bluetooth one doesnt either.

im usig the acer drivers, there are two ive tried both and both together with no luck..
and yes it deffo has it built in, it worked fine before the reinstall..

i had the same problems its the drivers for the button that you need to try and get hold of, not very easy im afraid
