Can you buy these? Where? As far as I know it is mainly auction, but thought there may be a specialist listing agent on the internet somewhere where you could browse through a few?
Also do they tend to be cheaper than the same type of house on the normal market, as surely the colectors would rather not have houses on their books but sell them on to get the cold hard cash?

I bought my flat as a repossesed property, it was listed in a local estate agency. Offers over £28k I paid a lil bit more than that & its worth 70-75k now! Not bad 1st gaff!!

I was about to post asking this, take it no-one knows of an internet list then?
Might phone the estate agents and see what they say.

often get them at property auctions
Most big auction places will have a property auction every 2 months or so

Repos are usually put through the larger agents linked with mortgage companies. Countrywide are the largest and are everywhere but they often put them on joint too as some have special terms. Ring round ur local agencies and ask if they're on a panel for any of the repo firms.
Otherway is to trawl through rightmove etc and look for places that are cheaper than average and have masking tape over the toilets, taps and oven as thats a dead giveaway. I've bought repo'd places before and have never had any major problems, just make sure the mortgagee agrees to pay for the service charges (if any) and accept liability for any charges before you take over ownership (i'm an estate agent)
