So yeah, my brake lights keep sticking on. I know it's nothing to do with the wiring but more the switch that is on the brake pedal, 'cause when I do the brakes on and off again, the lights go out (I can tell 'cause I can see my 3rd brake light in my rear view mirror).
Can the switch be sprayed with WD40 or something as it just seems to be sticking, or is that a bit dodgey with wires and is it a new switch?

might be the switch fooked. or might need adjusting. if you look at it you will understand. it just screws in or out

How much is a new switch? If it's easily affordable I'd say that's your best option. You don't want to need to keep spraying it with wd-40 every 6 months

I know it'll be the switch that is fooked, just didn't know if it could be sprayed. Looked on eBay and there is one, but looks like it needs wiring in which is a real pain.
