whe removing the centre console i followed the guide in tutorials but it never said anything about the 2 screws either side of the speed adjuster for the fan on the other side of the console, i pulled it off thinking i remvoed every screw now got 2 big holes int the console

Two inside the fan grills and one either side of the side shifting nob bit that you ping the surround off with a screw driver and thats it.
