i am encoding my dvd;s to save space on my externall HDD, whats the best bitrate for MKV files, i want an average 4 gig movie to be about 2.5 gig, was thinking about a average of 5,000 k/bs for the bitrate, i could use target file size, but if i do this the longer films will have reduced quailty plus it takes longer to encode!

Ediit: i do want to retain quite a bit of quailty
