hi i know theres another thread about this but its got out of hand so here i go.....
i just want to put maybe a bigger inlet or exhaust manifolds and maybe a bigger SPI unit! my car is a 1.2 8v and i dont want to have an engine swap lol so i just want a little bit of extra poke! so what bigger manifolds would fit and what would i get from fitting it?? also if i fit a bigger SPI unit what would it involve?? and what would i expect??
thanks!!

you could if you wanted to try a 1.6 spi throttle body or even a 1.8 spi throttle body then the inlet manifold will need lining up with the size of throttle body you are using,
you could also line up the intake runners to the size of the inlet manifold gasket and the same with the inlet ports but remember to finish these in 80 grit hone marks , on a small engined car ie 1000 cc to a 1600cc then a 4>2>1 exhaust manifold and down pipes my 4>2>1 exhaust manifold and down pipes came from a c16se,
you could if you wanted to line up exhaust manifold to the exhaust gasket

you could if you wanted to put a 1.6 spi inlet manifold on, if the inside diameter of the intake runners gets to big then you could loose pressure/velocity on intake cycle ie does not work at low speed engine revs or not work at all or just work high up the rev range
