I had to send my mobile away for the 7th time last week and I got it back today. the girl behind the desk said that the wern't prepared to fix it because there was liquid damge, when it was quite clearly a software fault. It was the same problem as the last 6 times; switch on/off by it's self and crashing all the time.
Could they have said this this so that they don't have to keep fixing it?
It's the second time it's happened to me because I had the same problem with a mokia that i had. I took that back 3 or 4 times and then they decided there was liquid damage
Anyone had this? should I give in and just pay for a replacement?

I wasnt entitled to one on my 4th C905 from o2, his reply was "Not all the C905s are falling apart yano, you've just been unlucky" "what... four times?" "Yeh, I'll get another sent out to you for a doorstop swap, anythin else I can help you with or is that all you was ringin up for?"

Ask for physical evidence, IE a photo
There are liquid damage detectors in phones which change colour when they get wet/damp

I was told my vodafone when i first took my phone in for repair that if it was fixed 3times or more they would supply me with a new one.
Plus i'm sure theres summat in the sales of goods act where they can fix it so many times (which i think is 3) after that its not classed fit for purpose

That is a piss take. I'd call them up again and ask to speak to someone higher up. Shit service
