are these universal?
juts looking for one as i have got an ipod sat here doin nothin
its the very very very first ipod, so i just wondered if the docking stations are universal or they are for a specific ipod model

doubt it, i think most only go 2 or 3 generations back

Proper iPod docks will only work with 3rd gen onwards, because that is the first version with the dock connector in the bottom instead of a whacking great Firewire port in the top. You can get universal ones that plug into the headphone port, though. But no, ones that are designed only for iPod will not work.
