hi guys, right do i keep the 1.4 16v and tune that or do i sell it and buy a 1.6 16v and tune that?

Id say you'd be better off going for a 1.6 as you get more BHP per £ but up too you.

You could just swap the engines as it's a straight swap.

ive got a few modifications on mine..

such as

manzel style power box inlet
cams
4-2-1 manifold and exhaust
panel filter

RR at 115bhp

and in all fairness it goes really well for what it is..

well mine keeps up with my mates 1.6 16v but i dont know what has been done to it!! i know its decatted and has a drilled airbox with panel filter!!

think standard 1.6 16v bhp is 105bhp roughly.

so mines obviously quicker then a standard 1.6 16v, maybe same as a 1.6 with exhaust and filter..

im not 100% as the work done was already on the car, i think it maybe a ashley manifold and exhaust...

erm not sure to be honest, decent brand to be honest such as ashley or piper maybe..

personally i wouldnt got for a cheap chrome one off ebay..

what about a janspeed one? will it help at all? should i heat wrap it?
