I'd say 150 miles to twenty would be fair.
A service (everything, filters, plugs, leads, oil) would help

Overfuelling cause of the engine mods. needs ecu re-mapping.

Yeah, your engine mods could be causing over fuelling which would in turn affect fuel economy.
Generally speaking, my 12v is 10p/mile (less now at today's petrol prices) however yours is double that, so 150 to £30 fill up. I'd say that is quite bad, even for a 1.4 16v.

Mine has Lexmaul, Full exhaust including decat and 4-2-1 manifold and BMC CDA, and I got 39 mpg on a motorway run to the NEC and back on Thursday, driving at a steady 75 mph too.
Your economy isn't too bad that it points to the CTS, as mine was doing about 8 mpg when that went. Take the spark plugs out and check them over to make sure its all cylinders running very rich too - I changed my plugs on Sunday as they had become black, but I was stil gettng reasonable economy.
Apart from that, I don't have any other suggestions, sorry.
Edit: Are the cams dialled in correctly do you know? Or even timed up correctly? Any idea on the specs of the cams?

Coolant Temperature Sensor, its by the thermostat on the front left of the engine block as you look into the engine bay.
Yea, my CTS died and the car was doing 8 mpg - it killed my cat, and wouldn't drive very well at all once warm, but that was replaced, along with a new cat, and its all fine now. That was about a year ago.

A fuel pressur regulator wound right up would cause it, as would a dodgey CTS or a lambda sensor thats got more than 50k miles on it
