i have a new laptop and have put some films off my old one to it and i cannot play them?
when i double click the file it opens up windows media player but only plays the sound,
how can i get the picture to work aswell or what programe can i download that will play them?

it's because you don't have the codecs, easiest way around this is to use VLC to play your vids in

Download that, install it with the no players option and everything will play through windows media player.
