Hi guys,
Im about to head over to a friends house as he has had his computer formatted and now needs some documents that have been lost in the format.
I have aquired a copy of Spinrite as I have heard that this is a pretty good tool?
Any other suggestions?
Is it a long process with spinrite? Or can you fairly easily image the drive and browse through what you want to recover?

Spinrite is pretty good. I havn't used it for a long time so can't remember how quick the process was. It was also well recommended at the time I needed it and still seems to be as popular today.
