I bought a 8gb USB stick and its only showing as 4gb, I can see the other unallocated 4gb in disk management but i cant assign it a drive letter or delete the existing 4gb to make 1 big 8gb one.....any ideas?
Its a Peak 8GB Xtreme2

Where did you buy it from?. Chances are it's fake and you've been ripped off.

Eidt unless you can format the drive and re-partition it is one 8gb drive. Try partition magic 8 if disk management won't do it.

Makes no odds, I bought one through a supplier and that didn't stop them getting conned from their source.

Also look for a program called iformat2 and it'll restore your drive to show it's true capacity if you do discover it's suspect.

iformat2 just opens then closes for me. Windows sees it as 8gb just only allows me to use 4gb of it. Cant even foramt it as NTFS, only FAT and FAT32

weird, i just used the HP format utility and it saw it all and formatted it to 8gb. Will let my guy know, may have a dodgy batch as you say.
