What astra engines will fit in the corsa???? i know i will need to change gearbox as well, all i need is a gearbox and drivshafts for my car but cant find one anywere, so its drastic times.

i got 1.4 16v atm, so either 1.4 or 1.6, how complex is it????

funny story, replaced my cv joints (outer) and the car started to pull randomly at 40+, told it was inner joints, cant find them and saw there were a few gearboxes but mostly 1.6, cant find one anywere so thought of engine change, which i want to do at some point anyway. thats the story in a sentence

alot of work just for that reason, just find a car spares and get 2 new inners,

i have rung all the places round here and cannot come accross 1.4, 1.2 and 1.6 are common but rarely have 1.4

i was told, i need new drive shafts cause the inner joints are seazing slightly. unless 1.2 shafts with all joints will fit but i have my doubts and think i am making myslef look stupid... :s

1.0l to 1.4 16v, shafts and joints are all the same, the only thing different is the abs ring on some which is removable, you wont need a new shaft at all not unless its bent, just get the inner cvs for any corsa apart from a 1.6 gsi as these are 22spline not 28
