I've always understood it to be the case that if you get really poor signal from your mobile provider, you can end your contract early.
Has anybody been through this? im 12 months in to an 18 month contract with o2. i want to end it and get an iphone basically, whats my chances.
oh and the signal is very bad where i'll be living

almost impossible, I can't remember the ins and outs but my girlfriend works for o2 customer service and we was on about it the other day, she was explaining it to me and iirc unless you live where there actually is literally no signal/coverage, you are screwed, having been on that contract already for 12 month wouldn't hlep your cause one bit either!

Could say you have recently changed jobs and now have no signal for around 3 miles of the area, useless in case of emergencies etc

What good is an iphone going to be in the house with no signal? Unless you are unlocking it to another network that has signal there?

Also, surely if it works outside fine, it is something to do with the property thats buffing the signal? Same happens in my house, annoying as fuck, I have to go outside or upstairs to use my mobile

You can't.
I'd phone up and see if they'll let you upgrade to the iphone because they'll get more money off you, although as said you'll still have no reception.

Some highstreet mobile re-sellers buy out your old contract for you so that they can sell you a new one? Try P4U, Link, CPWH, etc
